NFL Free Agencey Begins, Jets Stepping Up Big, EARLY !

Feb 29, 2008

Late last night, or early as hell this morning depending on how YOU look at it, marked the start of this year’s free agency market and as usual and even more so the biggest and most important moves are gonna happen immediately. Now more than ever teams are going to greater lengths to make sure they can re-sign their own quality free agents, leaving a smaller less talented pool of free agents available for teams to upgrade their squads, however if you have been following the story lines closely, this is something you already know. Hopefully though I’m a add a spin or 2 on somethings you might not have heard and or thought about. (more…)

Crow : It’s What’s For Breakfast

Jan 21, 2008

So this morning I woke up and decided I need to have a nice big plate of Crow for breakfast. After all it’s one thing to pick against a team 2 even 3 times and be wrong, it’s a whole nother thing all together when you’ve been clowning said team all year and somehow they make it to the Super Bowl. Week 2 … In January

Jan 20, 2008

Who would of known waaaay back in week 2 that we would of had 2 rematches from that week deciding who travels to Arizona for the Super Bowl ? Heres hoping that the games are a little closer and more competitive than they were that week. (more…)

WTF Was That ?

Jan 13, 2008

Seriously what exactly was with that defensive game plan last night Mr. Del Rio ? Let me see if I got this right, your playing against Tom Brady and what might just be the most dangerous offense ever and your game plan is to back off, apply zero pressure and give them everything short and underneath uncontested. Wild Card Day # 2

Jan 6, 2008

Now thats a look of confidence. No not Eli’s face, my face. Its exuding with confidence because I bet my money against that look of eternal optimism. ( sarcasm people ) So yes I fully expect the BUCS to win today thats not to say it’s not possible that the Giants can win it’s just if they do it will be because they choose to run Brandon Jacobs 30 + times for 200 + yards and Eli doesn’t attempt more than 20, or even better only 15 passes. The Bucs biggest weakness is the Giants greatest strength, the Giants with Brandon Jacobs or even Reuban Droughns should be able to move the ball on the ground however lookout when Eli drops back to pass because the Bucs blitzes combined with their ball hawking secondary could and should lead to a very long day if the Giants keep going back to the Eli drop back. Now further complicating things for the Giants is the QB on the other team has had a bit of a history in beating the Giants in the playoffs, and this is probably the best team he has been on. Jeff Garcia is a pro’s pro you would never realize the guy is almost 38 years old. He moves around so calmly and smoothly and he very rarely makes a mistake or a bad throw and has the legs and where with all to dance around the pocket until he can find Joey Galloway or Ike Hillard ( seriously be ready for this Giants fans it’s gonna hurt ) down the field. The best part for him is he should only have to do this a couple times as they can also run the ball and run it effectively no matter who they are facing, the Giants rush D is good but not that good, and they can’t afford to load up the box and let Garcia dance outside to beat them. I know all you Giant fans are all ready planning for the Super Bowl but I’ve been telling you for weeks they can’t make it pass the Bucs, and the look on Eli’s face agrees with me.

Tenn. + 10 @ San Diego

I’m not gonna waste much of your time or my time on this one. Look they played a couple weeks ago with the Chargers needing overtime to pull out the W, not this week. Look for this game to be over early. By halftime I should have demoted this game to the little TV and finish up season 4 of The Wire to get ready for the season 5 premiere tonight cause lets face it who cares about football when we got The Wire coming back tonight. Look for a lot of L.T. early and often and be ready for big Jamal Williams to stuff any rushing attack the Titans attempt to put on. Only making matters worse is the fact that it appears they are gonna try and send Vince Young out there hobbled and I honestly think they have a better chance with Kerry ” I’ve seen the highest of highs and lowest of lows ” Collins. VY is still stuck running a one read offense, meaning he hikes the ball looks for one receiver ( he’s gonna be missing 2 of his favorites, Roydell Williams and Bo Scaife ) if that receiver isn’t there he tucks the ball and runs, if I know this even a team coached by Norv Turner knows this and the Chargers D is too good to get beat by something so simple.

Playoff Time

Jan 4, 2008

vs.

Now things are about to get interesting, the scrub teams are home for the holidays ( I’m looking at YOU Jets ) and only the deserving teams are left. Yeah I know everyone is ready to admit defeat and crown the Patriots already but regardless I promise theres still plenty of good football games to look forward to, starting with the first game on Saturday. NFL Week 16 Picks

Dec 21, 2007

The season is almost over and now is the best time to start making bets. Now you have a true idea as to how good all the teams are and you can make good educated guesses as to who will win and by how much. The only tricky part at this time of year is compensating for teams that have their playoff spots locked up and have no real motivation to play, as well as trying to guess if people are happy with their playoff spots or if they wanna risk injury to better their spots. However like I said this is by far the best time for betting ( and probably the wild card weekend ) so take a look at my picks down below and if you want some extra cash to treat yourself this Christmas call a bookie ( of course I mean go to Vegas ) and tell him to check out New Jersey Drive and those will be your picks, you can thank me later and trust I will be waiting for it. A Look Into The NFC’s Future

Dec 13, 2007

So yesterday I gave you the future of the AFC. I told you who was in the playoffs, what the match-ups will be and who will win. I got the COLTS in case you didn’t read it and am lazy like I tend to be. In the AFC it’s a for gone conclusion that it will be either the Colts or the Pats representing the conference in the Super Bowl this year and in the NFC most people see the same thing happening with the Cowboys and Packers. While I will agree they are the 2 best teams in the NFC right now the drop off is not nearly as great as in the AFC. Also for some reason people really seem to be counting out the Seahawks and the Bucs which leads me to believe people aren’t watching these teams because both are capable of beating either the Cowboys or the Packers, and don’t worry Land I see you, as long as the Vikings have Adrian Peterson and their D playing as good as they are they also can’t be ruled out. I know I went from saying the NFC is between 2 teams to be had, to it being a toss up between 5 teams. Thats the NFC for you, and in the end it’s not gonna matter cause which everyone emerges the victor is only gonna get kufi smacked right into the off-season. (more…)

A Look Into The Future

Dec 12, 2007

A couple weeks ago I decided to tell all of you who would make the playoffs, who would win what divisions and who would just miss out and be left on the outside looking in and waiting for next year to prove themselves. I most likely got only one team wrong ( it’s my own fault for thinking Kurt warner or the Cardinals could be counted on for anything ) and I made the bold but wrong prediction that the Jags would win the AFC North instead of the Colts. This was a shot in the dark I thought with the Colts struggling without Marvin Harrison would lose to Jacksonville on Monday night a couple weeks back, turned out I was wrong, dead wrong I won’t be doubting the Colts anymore as you will soon find out and it was a case of no harm no foul, obviously both teams would make the playoffs why not take a chance and guess the upset. The rest ? On point like icicles ninja. ( don’t believe me check it out…..http://tinyurl.com/3xftq4…….http://tinyurl.com/393csm )
