An Open Letter to Lebron ( and late rd. 2 preview )

Enough with the crybaby/flopping nonsense Lebron, at first I thought it was an inaccurate assessment thrown at you by the haters but somewhere in the middle of last nights game I found myself with an application for the Lebron haters club in hand don’t worry I’ll tell you every reason why. For starters I can’t believe you duped the refs into calling a flagrant foul on Cassell in the first half last night. He barely grabbed the back of your jersey and you went down crying like you just took a moving car to the face, what did Cassell rip off that imaginary Superman cape ? You are a genetic freak and absolute beast. ( 6?8 250 lbs. or 6?9 260 lbs. according to him ) You should be able to take a ninja kick to the face from Chuck Norris without flinching. Just cause the rest of the rest of the league stays flopping/whining doesn’t mean you should, didn’t your mom ever teach you that ? If the rest of the league jumped off a bridge would you follow right behind them ? You want to be King James super-duper star of the league, well then you have to be above that and o yeah you might want to actually make those lay-ups at the end of games or more importantly take it strong and dunk the damn ball already.
As I watched the game last night ( puke can on my left, Pepto and crackers on the right ) I couldn’t help but feel sick to my stomach and wonder what happened to the Lebron from last yea. The worst part is I felt like I was watching a bigger, stronger, faster version of Vince Carter, there I said it now if that doesn’t scare you then I know theres no hope. You can take it to the basket at will yet for some reason you constantly settle for bad jump shots that you can’t make, at least Vince has a decent jumper, you can’t shoot for ish. Listen during the regular season it’s fine, I get it it’s practice for you. The only way to get better at it is by practicing in a game, again during the regular season thats fine during the playoffs, not fine. Playoffs is not the time to practice or try and work on things and improve, playoffs are the time to do what you do best, attack the rim, and make your team win. I knew you would have a good, and probably best, chance to steal a home game last night as the Celtics just finished a long hard fought series and didn’t have much time to prepare for this series but you constantly bailed them out with your 2 for 18 shooting. How many jump shots do you have to miss before you realize you can’t make them ? Theres a reason Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the league cause he can make jump shots, you ? Not so much.
Last year as you were playing my favorite team, the Nets, I actually stopped rooting for them half way through the series and started rooting for you out of sheer amazement and it only got stronger as I watched you single handedly destroy the Pistons, where did that Lebron go ? Now I won’t put all the blame on you as your coach is obviously clueless. For the life of me I don’t get why he insists on you bringing the ball up or giving you the ball near the 3 point line every time so you can essentially go 1 on 5 and get tempted to taking those long jump shots that you can not make. As bad as you played last night your team still kept you in it and you did everything in your power to throw everything good they did right out the window. ( 10 turnovers, Chris Paul doesn’t have 10 turnovers all playoffs and he is a point guard ) Yesterday I predicted the Celtics would win in 6 but if some drastic changes aren’t made to the game plan you’ll be lucky to go 5 or 6, the Celtics will not play/shoot that bad again and definitely not at home. You need to stop doing your best Vince Carter and realize you need to attack the basket and attack it some more. Set up closer to the basket and wait to get the ball there so you don’t have to dribble through all 5 defenders, even though you can, theres no reason why you shouldn’t have 15-20 dunk/lay-ups a game, none. Stop wasting your talent and do what you do best and impose your will on the other team instead of bailing them out with long jump shots with way too much time left on the shot clock, otherwise your gonna drive more fans away and your not getting out of this round let alone winning a championship.
LATE ROUND 2 PREVIEW
* I posted this excerpt at nah right yesterday *
The Hawks caused all types of match up problems for the Celtics with their athleticism and fast play in the open court ( Cleveland doesn’t push the ball they are a half court team ) , and yeah at first thought you think if the Celtics had trouble stopping Joe Johnson how are they gonna stop Lebron, but then think Joe Johnson was killing them on the jump shots, I’m nicer with the jump shots than Lebron….. the Cavs need to stop letting Lebron bring the ball up and run him off screens and roll him to the basket and hell even send him down low let him post some people up but even if they do that I don’t see them lasting more than 6, if they are gonna take it to 7 or win in 6 ( they ain’t winning no game 7 in Boston ) they are gonna need Gibson, Delonte West and Wally to be killing it from the 3 point line, thats the only way Lebron can’t do this by himself
CELTICS IN 6 ( ALTHOUGH RIGHT NOW I’M THINKING THE CAVS WOULD BE LUCKY TO GO TO 5 )
Detroit vs. Orlando
Detroit might of gotten some help in game 2 but the series has gone much as I expected it and I’m sorry Magic but theres no way you were winning that game anyway with or without that 3 pointer at the end of the 3rd quarter. I expect the Magic to win a game at home mostly cause you know the Pistons will take at least one game off, but they are too good and too deep for the Magic. The Pistons have lots of big able bodies to deal with Dwight Howard and their back court is far superior to the Magic. The Magic have no answer for Chauncey, Rip, Prince or Rashweed. The Pistons got their wake up call from the Sixers and will finish the Magic off before they can be nervous.
PISTONS IN 5
Lakers vs. Jazz
While I don’t agree with Kobe Bryant as the MVP, there is no question he is the best player in the league. The Jazz can not stop him they just can’t the Jazz will play better than they did in game 1 no doubt but not good enough to beat the Lakers. I admit at first I thought the Jazz could make it closer than it will be but I took off the hater shades and realized as long as Kobe keeps playing team basketball and getting his teammates open shots they will not lose to the Jazz. Gasol + Kobe = too much for the Jazz to deal with. If you add the role players the Lakers have it’s gonna be hard for anyone to beat them.
LAKERS IN 5
Spurs vs. Hornets

I’m sticking by my Spurs in 7 because, well I don’t know why , I honestly can’t think of any reason why other than they are the Spurs and they won’t be too discouraged and they have the next to games at home to bounce back from and then they just have to steal one on the road, I know easier said than done. The Spurs should win game 3 at home, game 4 will be the key honestly I can see the Hornets winning game 4 and if that happens I will admit I was wrong about the series, however I still think it’s more likely the Spurs rebound and head back to New Orleans tied 2-2, as they say a series doesn’t start until a team loses a home game and even though the Hornets sure seem perfectly constructed to beat the Spurs and well everyone but I stick by my story.

Yo My Homie just made some Guap on the Hornets for betting on them both games and they covered twice.

^^ I am selling this dope jacket on ebay
I agree with everything but the Hornets vs Spurs series. I think NO is gonna take that. Chris Paul was merciless in Game 2 and he doesn’t look like he’s gonna let up. Also, LeBron as the new VC is quite scary indeed.
as an Ohioan it is my unalienable right to talk down on lebron. You sir have no such pass, so on every cavs forum i’m issuing murk on sight orders for the vince carter comparison. Because you used to be my peoples until this post I’ll give you some advice…if you see anybody with a st. Vincent st. Marys jersey on in your vicinity…run.
@ rey - I’m leaning towards the Hornets right now too but I can’t jump off the Spurs ship until I see them play a home game I can admit I’m wrong when I’m clearly wrong but I won’t jump back and forth and I need to see the Spurs struggle at home before I jump ship
@ 911 - I was wondering if you would see this…. listen I say this to him because he is so much fun to watch, he has so much talent and ability it’s ridiculous, it’s just so damn frustrating and disappointing to root for him because of him settling for jumpers and whining so much ( he didn’t use to whine like he has been since the Wizards series he caught the flopping flu from the rest of the league )
I say this to him out of love ( none ) and appreciation for his skills and disappointment for his failure to execute, also this isn’t based off just this one game it’s based on every game I watched of him this season especially the Wizards series, there is no reason he should dominate every game but I’m sick of watching him chuck jump shots and pass the ball up, and not attack the rim on a consistent basis
i had to stop and comment b4 i continued reading after this part:
actually stopped rooting for them half way through the series and started rooting for you out of sheer amazement and it only got stronger as I watched you single handedly destroy the Pistons, where did that Lebron go ?
Lebron definitly blacked out on them, hitting J’s (which he still cant hit under pressure well enough, even thes only 23 so that will come), but part of that had to do with the fact that they refused to double him early in the shotclock and put bodies on him, so he got to the baja or within 10 ft of it b4 he even saw 2 defenders… (thanks flip saunders)
*goes back to see predictions*
ok now that i finished…
the rest of the lebron stuff was money, and spot on.
I still dont know how u figure the spurs can beat the hornets, their just straight up better than the spurs…they beat them (badlly, by 20+) multiple times in the regular season, and just like the spurs od’d on the suns cuz no one could guard TP, CP will OD even more on them because no one can guard him.
@ recruit - I agree the Hornets are a better more talented team but these are still the Spurs, I have been telling everyone for months the Hornets can win the championship they are for real etc. etc. I just can’t go back on my prediction that I made last week, which was Spurs in 7, until I see the Spurs play a home game…. I’m prepared to be wrong I hope I am wrong but if I go back on it now and the Spurs hold serve at home I can’t go back again and they are still the Spurs can’t bury them yet…. if I was just making a prediction today I would go Hornets but for now I have to stick with my original prediction
I’m skeptical about the spurs too. And I wanna see how good they do tonight at home.
Something tells me if they don’t come out the gate amped up, and totally snuff out any chance right out the gate on some 33-17 after the 1st type shit, they’re toast.
No Chauncey in game 4 and the magic will be back in it and it’ll be Pistons in 7 instead.
LeBron’ll take it to 6, and lose. If he makes it to 7, they’ll upset tho, Word to the Patriots.
Whatchu know about that?
